I used to be confident, clever and keen, eager to learn more about life. But I'd started having panic attacks, I was losing sleep, losing my confidence and losing my sense of self.
My marriage wasn't working. My husband wanted to start a family and I wasn't sure that I did. At first there were noisy rows, then we just became distant and resentful of each other. I felt so isolated because I couldn't speak to my husband. And I didn't think my family or friends would see things my way either.
In fact I don't think I really knew what I felt - I just knew it wasn't what everybody thought I should feel. Counselling was a Godsend- being able to speak freely without being judged - it just helps you get through the fog
After a very short time I decided once and for all that I didn't want to try for a child anymore and I started to work through the other issues affecting my happiness. I can honestly say that after my Counselling sessions I was finally able to move on. My anxiety attacks have reduced dramatically and I am now living a much happier life.
