When I was diagnosed with a chronic illness I felt like my life was effectively over - things would never be the same again. Of course your relationships change, your physical abilities change. People look at you differently. You look at yourself differently!
It would have been so easy to just give up. I had lost my way in life, feeling very unworthy and frustrated at life.
Attending counselling has ended with my confidence ten times higher than it had been when I started. I have since returned to being the person I was before my illness and I have never looked back.
